Short version: Hero Sprouts Learn is a family practice tool, not a school or a tutor. Free plan is free. Paid plans have a 14-day trial with no card, renew until you cancel, and can be cancelled any time. Content is ours; your data is yours.
1. The service
Hero Sprouts Learn provides game-based practice activities for children in grades 1 to 4, aligned to Common Core math and NGSS science sequences. It supports learning and does not replace instruction, assessment or professional advice.
2. Accounts
Only adults (18+) who are the parent or guardian may create an account. The account holder is responsible for the children using it and for keeping the password and PIN private. One Hero account covers one child; Hero Family covers up to four.
3. Plans, trials and payment
- Sprout is free with the limits shown on the plans page.
- Hero and Hero Family start with a 14-day free trial that needs no card. After the trial, features return to Sprout unless you subscribe.
- Subscriptions are billed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel from the customer portal; access continues to the end of the paid period. Prices are shown before checkout and include applicable tax where required.
- Refunds: if something is broken and we cannot fix it, email us within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it.
4. Acceptable use
Use the service for your family's learning. Do not copy, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer the content, and do not attempt to access other families' data.
5. Content and ownership
Characters, stories, art, audio, questions and code are owned by Capeling Press or its licensors. Standards references (CCSS, NGSS) belong to their publishers; Your family's progress data belongs to you.
6. Availability and changes
We aim for the service to be available at all times but do not guarantee it. We may add, change or retire missions and features. Material changes to paid plans are announced by email at least 30 days ahead.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Capeling Press is established, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
